Kunzum is a summer road
People ask for a winter Spiti that starts in Manali and finishes in Shimla. The map still shows the line. The road does not.
Kunzum La is the hinge. When it is open, a circuit is honest: over the pass, through the high villages, home by Kinnaur or the other way around. When it is shut, which is the long cold stretch, the only sensible way in and out is the Kinnaur road from Shimla. We still run that. We just refuse to sell the closed half.
